Curried Hazelnut Pate
approximately 4 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
2 tsp curry powder or to taste
lemon twists to garnish
Grind the hazelnuts to a fine powder.
Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the onion.
Cook until it begins to colour.
Stir in the curry powder and cook a minute or two more.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the hazelnuts, mixing thoroughly.
Add a drop more oil if the mixture seems too dry.
Transfer to a small dish, smooth the top and set aside to cool.
Cover and chill briefly before serving.
Top with twists of lemon.
